2D Design Studies
Some of you are here because you are just curious how I got my unique profile picture. It is actually my study on various art styles.
Activity 1: Understanding Context
I'm required to find a suitable style that I like and understand what elements portray me the most.

Activity 2: Identifying Posts

Activity 3: Colour Experimentation

At first, I struggled to choose between which packaging that doesn't have complex colour schemes and not too simple colour scheme. After getting over with that, I have problems mixing some colours such as green to get the same colour as the packaging. Some of my colours also have some inconsistency. However, after some finishing touches, it is ready to go.
Activity 4: Final on Acrylic
Design Statement:
My artwork takes a critical view about myself, giving me an opportunity to understand myself better and closer in terms of figure and personal interest. The aim of this assignment is to discover ourselves in order to produce a better result in the field of design. I choose pop art as the theme for my artwork, why? Because pop art is vibrant, energetic, a good message conveyed and is able to highlight my interesting personalities. In my work, I deconstruct the reality around me by using pop art to convey my uniqueness and happiness through splashes of colors. Each fragment of colors represents the moments, hardships and joy in life, sometimes even include brokenness, joined
together to form who I am today. The pose that is used portrays me as a thinker. From the food I eat to the topics of society and meanings of life, I think and ponder, extracting and compiling ideas into a colorful mindset. The color turquoise and poppy pink are some of my favorite colors, creating a separation in the canvas to signify a sense of balance in the overall composition and the left and right brain. The text used at the background provides clues to content and interpretation about myself and the love of calligraphy and typography.
